Welcome to a Secret Subject Swap. This week 6 brave bloggers picked a secret subject for someone else and were assigned a secret subject to interpret in their own style. Today we are all simultaneously divulging our topics and submitting our posts.
My subject is: You are on an episode of “Wife Swap”. Write your household manual.
It was submitted by: https://crazymamallama.blogspot.com/
This is going to be so much fun! Thank you!
Welcome To The McDaniel Home!
You are going to want to stay forever…but no!
Normally there is where I would write down the list of things you must do, but in our house, that’s just not necessary. Why you ask because you don’t have to DO ANYTHING! You read that right. You will enjoy the next 14 days more than you would a two week stay in a spa.
There are no kids to clean up after other than an occasional grandkid sleepover.
There’s no garbage to take out, no laundry to wash, no dirty dish to wash. Just sit back and use the remote (there’s plenty to watch).
No, our house is not filthy (I know what you’re thinking!) On the contrary, my house is always spotless right down to the floors.
For the next two weeks, you can do as you please!
You see, I am married to the most amazing man. You will never run across another like him and before you start thinking crazy thoughts. He’s mine you can’t have him!
Ten years ago I got very sick and nearly died. Most of you already knew this, but for those who don’t, I spent 6 weeks in the hospital. I was very sick and was diagnosed with something called Felty’s Syndrome. It’s a rare, aggressive form of Rheumatoid Arthritis. It not only affects my joints but also my organs like my heart. It also kidnaps my immune system and uses it for evil purposes.
All of this results in my life being one of isolation (because that’s the only way to stay healthy). It also means that some days you may not make it out of bed, somedays you aren’t even able to dress but don’t worry you have the world’s best nurse right there with you.
You see my husband was built to take care of people. It’s just his nature and what makes him happy. So, he is the husband, nurse, caregiver, main breadwinner, maid, and maintenance man all rolled into one. He literally does it all. Here is a list of activities that you won’t have to worry about.
- Making the bed
- Changing the sheets
- Dusting
- Laundry
- Garbage Removal
- Sweeping & Mopping
- Dirty Dishes
- Delivery service
and these days because of my recent surgery he is also:
- Helping me in and out of the shower
- Gathering clothes to wear for the day.
- Waitress, Cook, and Dishwasher
- taxi driver
- Cook/delivery driver
Enjoy but remember after 14 days you are out!

You are one lucky woman. And you SO deserve him.
I’m so happy you hit the jackpot with your hubby – well deserved!
I do hope your “stand-in” fully appreciates her two weeks.
