Welcome to a Secret Subject Swap. This week 9 brave bloggers picked a secret subject for someone else and were assigned a secret subject to interpret in their own style. Today we are all simultaneously divulging our topics and submitting our posts.
Your “Secret Subject” is:
Outdoor adventures
It was submitted by: https://hoohaa.com/
Anybody who even remotely knows me probably knows where I’m going with this prompt. I’m talking about my own outdoor adventure that is taking place in 111 from the day you’re going to read this. How did it get here so quick? When I first put the timer up it was over 400 days. It seems so far away and now the days are flying by so fast.
We’ve made a few changes to our route from when I first started planning it. Instead of going through Yellowstone & Glacier (places we’ve been before) we’re going to go through Minnesota (I’m lookin’ at you Jennifer Brown from Redhead Ranting) and into Winnipeg.
From there we’ll be heading west across Canada (you too Diane Tolley from On The Alberta/Montana Border!) towards Banff National Park and on into Alaska. After enjoying Alaska for a week we’ll head back down to Seattle where I’m hooking up with one of my oldest blogging friends Lana Lindgren from My New Happy & the Forever Fierce Revolution.
From there I want to revisit a beautiful place we stayed at years ago called Umpqua Lighthouse State Park in Umpqua, Oregon. Following the coast south to San Francisco and a couple of days with my sister from another mother who I’ve never met IRL Carol Cassara from CarolCassara.com & AHealingSpirit.org.
From there we’ll head east to Yosemite and then on to Salt Lake City and Arches National Park followed up by Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado.
I can’t believe that I get to finally meet these women who have been a huge part of my life since I wrote my first blog post in 2013.
I have met a few of my blogging friends IRL. Women like Michelle Combs from Rubber Shoes In Hell is another sister that I love dearly. Also, my friend Pia Savage from Courting Destiny and Elaine Ambrose from ElaineAmbrose.com are both dear to my heart.
There are others I’d still love to meet. People like Karen Blessing from Baking In A Tornado, Minette Langston from Southern Belle Charm, Dawn Gardner-Bedingfield from Spatulas On Parade, Tamara from Part-time Working Hockey Mom & Jenniy French from Climaxed, Barb Harmon of Chasing The Next Chapter & Beth Havey from Boomer Highway org. I love meeting blogging buddies.
I am so excited, but I’m also terrified. This is my trip of a lifetime. The very top of my bucket list. I hope you’ll follow along. If you haven’t signed up please do! I can’t wait to share this trip with you!

I remember when it was 400 days and have no idea how time flew like that, but I’m excited for you. I can’t wait to follow along!
Love your itinerary! Hey, you will even stop in Switzerland to meet with me, I am so honored!
Even if you’re just able to actually do 10% of this, it’ll be so great. Keep us posted!
So excited for your trip! The next one, head South! ?
Omgosh, that sounds like a trip of a lifetime! I have met Marcia from Menopausal Mother. She was going to Dayton for an Erma Bombeck and was going through the town in Kentucky I lived in so we met at White Castle.
This sounds like one fantastic trip. I was in Banff this past summer and it’s simply amazing. I could have spent a ton more time there than I did and one day I hope to return. Enjoy this trip — it looks amazing!
