Today’s post is a writing challenge. This is how it works: participating bloggers picked 4 – 6 words or short phrases for someone else to craft into a post. All words must be used at least once and all the posts will be unique as each writer has received their own set of words. That’s the challenge, here’s a fun twist; no one who’s participating knows who got their words and in what direction the writer will take them. Until now.
Your words are:
Paradise ~ gate code ~ calendar ~ camping ~ RV ~ Sirius XM

Does it count that I used a word in the title? No? I thought I would use my words for a life update. It seems that I’ve been gone for way to long. I miss putting words to paper (or screen). The calendar is just zooming by at light speed. I can’t believe that it’s already April!
As you may remember we bought a new car last week and it came with a three-month subscription to Sirius XM. They email, they’ve sent mail. I don’t know how to make them understand that I don’t want it. I don’t even really understand it. Plus my phone has Pandora and that’s all we need.
We went camping with the kids for the first time a few weeks ago and they loved it. I was worried they wouldn’t since this is something that we do often. I shouldn’t have worried what kid doesn’t like camping! My grandson is afraid of bugs, the dark, loud noises and on and on and on. So I just wasn’t sure.
Easter is a big holiday in my family just because I love it and it’s Spring. We’re actually going camping for Easter. We boil eggs over the campfire and then we color them (much easier to clean up outside). When the kids go to sleep we hid the eggs and get the baskets that are hidden in the trunk. We did this with our kids when they were little and they loved it.
We don’t have an RV YET, but it is on our wish list. Right now we sleep in a tent, but we have a big air bed and electric so it’s not really such a hardship. Going to sleep under the stars. We (actually hubby) makes a big breakfast right over the campfire and let me tell you it tastes better than any 4 star restaurant.
I hope my grandson doesn’t get to scared or we might just have to use the gate code to get out of the park and drive my poor boy home. My granddaughter? She’s not scared of ANYTHING!
Just like the title, just another day in paradise!
What are your Easter traditions?
Now, go check out my friends! You’ll love them as much as I do.
