Today’s post is a writing challenge. This is how it works: participating bloggers picked 4 – 6 words or short phrases for someone else to craft into a post. All words must be used at least once and all the posts will be unique as each writer has received their own set of words. That’s the challenge, here’s a fun twist; no one who’s participating knows who got their words and in what direction the writer will take them. Until now.
At the end of this post you’ll find links to the other blogs featuring this challenge. Check them all out, see what words they got and how they used them.
I’m using: foundation, lovingly, prolapse, reactionary, give

These were definitely challenging, but I love a good challenge! Thanks Jules! Well, we can always talk about my favorite subject!
I knew that I always wanted to go into business for myself. I knew that if I did I would want it to be:
- Something I loved to do.
- Something that would benefit my family.
- Allowed me to grow as a person as well as a business owner.
What started out as a side hustle (& let’s face it at this age it is probably closer to speed walking). This thing that I loved would sustain me through several health crises, the death of my mother, and a total lifestyle change. It’s been my very best friend through some long, sleepless nights. It has lovingly kept me company as I tried to maneuver through lots of unknown territories. Major changes that were hitting us with lightning speed and deadly precision.
All of my life I’ve lived a reactionary existence. Always letting the stressors I was facing pilot my life. Now, that I am finally starting to recognize bits & pieces of my old carefree self I want to live day by day while still coming from a place where being proactive.
In business, just as in life, you have to build a strong foundation. Something that will sustain you not only in the good but especially during the bad. You have to have a plan b, & maybe c & d. What if your doctor told you that your uterus was starting to prolapse? Maybe a death in the family. You have to run your business & not let it run you. How do you do that:
- Through research & hard work.
- With the correct systems & automation.
You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to show up day after day putting in the work. You have to give it your all. There isn’t an easy way to make it happen. Done is always better than perfect.
