Welcome to a Secret Subject Swap. This month 5 brave bloggers picked a secret subject for someone else and were assigned a secret subject to interpret in their own style. Today we are all simultaneously divulging our topics and submitting our posts.
Your “Secret Subject” is: If you could clap your hands and get people–everyone in the world–to do one thing to improve the rest of their lives, what would it be? (Just assume all monkey’s paw situations do not apply)

You don’t even have to ask. I’ve been saying it for months and months and months….
JUST WEAR YOUR MASK!
Lately, I have been reading books about World War II and the atrocities that were done to the Jewish people. These brave people were hunted down by the friends and neighbors. These brave people lived through unspeakable torture and neglect and abuse and starvation and all of the other things that were done to them. They lost their families, their livelihoods, their homes, and their property.
As an empath, these books break my heart and I often find myself sobbing after a particularly brutal passage. My husband asked me why one day. Why I put myself through it. Why don’t I just choose another genre. You’re not even Jewish he said. “Because,” I say, “if these poor people could have lived through these horrible situations and if these same people could somehow find the strength to write about it.” The least I can do is read their stories and never forget because it could happen again. I believe it almost did, but that’s another story for another prompt.
Truth be told I’ve always been jealous of Jewish people. That sounds weird huh? I would love to have been Jewish. To have grown up in the midst of a group of people who celebrate your wins and mourn with you when you need it. I would have loved to have grown up having that kind of faith instilled in me. Because here I am at 51 with no clue what I believe and have faith in nothing. I’d even give up Christmas for that!
I know I got off subject there but I promise it’s leading somewhere…
When I see people who say that they aren’t wearing a mask. Who refuse to comply with locked order I think of the Jews and their strength. Then I think one more thing about their whining! It literally makes me sick!
Now, that I have gotten that off my chest grab a cup of coffee and go visit my friends!
